Architectural Controls The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is responsible for ensuring that property improvements and changes throughout Castle Pines fall within the strictures of our CC&R Architectural Guidelines. This ensures that our development continues to look great, and that new homeowner projects are undertaken with the guidelines and the project's potential effect on other homeowners in mind. Notifying the ACC of planned changes is always recommended, and the process for approval is usually simple and straightforward. Review the guidelines in the CC&Rs and in the brief "restrictions" document, discuss your project with your abutting neighbors and solicit any feedback they might have, fill out the request form, and send it off with a description and any related drawings of your project to the ACC members. Assuming all ACC members are present and available to review your project, you should receive a timely response to your request. Request Form: Choose the format that best suits your software. Word 2007, Word 97-2003, PDF (can't be filled out online)
Received, Pending, and Approved Property Improvement Requests This table lists all known property improvements/changes received by the homeowner representatives of the ACC to date. Please direct any questions about specific improvments (or things you think might be listed in error) to members of the ACC. |
What Is A "Street Tree"? The City of Sammamish, like cities all over Washington state and across the country, encourages the planting of trees alongside streets in both new and existing communities. Besides environmental and aesthetic benefits to having these trees, each house in Castle Pines was required to have one or more street trees planted in pre-planned locations before an occupancy permit was issued. Our CC&Rs require that each homeowner maintains the street trees on their lot, including replacing them, should disease, conditions, or accident claim them. This is an example of the variety of tree chosen for Castle Pines, the acer rubrum, "Fairview Flame." |
